Grrrrrr

Leopard Info Shot

Well, I dove in and installed on my new MBP. There are some very cool features that I am looking foward to exploring, like Spaces, but there are also a few key apps that I have come to rely on that do not work…Daylite being the most important. The new features in Mail may be able to over come some of these shortcomings, but Daylite has so many great features, I am anxious for that upgrade as well.

On first glance there are some really slick features, but the sem-transparent men bar has got to go.

How connected are you?

These are just off the top of my head. Leaving out elements like Orkut, MyBlogLog, Pownce, Wakoopa, ImThere, etc. my days are pretty well taken up with managing my online presence. Some of these sites pull feeds to keep them up to date, but others require more effort than the RSS spiders. I haven't even mentioned the user forums that I frequent either to keep up to-date on software development, latest tip and tricks with software and market research.

There are a multitude of other opportunities to connect online and some are more valuable than others. It all really comes down to your needs and expectations. When I review all of these sites, there are a few that standout more than others with my workflow: Twitter, Tumblr and flickr. These sites are indispensable in my day, while several others are important and the rest just generally used to keep in touch with market trends.

Mashable

Mashable has a list of resources for development you may find useful. After you get through the list, 250 in all, spend some time surfing around the site; I am sure you will find more useful info.

Restored

Well after quite a bit of time, I am back up again. Another hardware failure and a move from my trusty old host to mediatemple. More things in the works and off we go. :-)
